Design. Such a simple word. Such a massive part of life and business.
I'm the first to admit that I have zero artistic skills. Thanks to technology and advancement of design software, I no longer have to try and sketch a stick figure or shape to try and explain the idea to someone and bring a creative idea to life. Hooray!
I'm loving my latest design app crush, Canva, as it makes me feel like I'm in total control of what I am creating. I have the vision in my mind of how I want to re-brand our business but I'm not ready yet to fully commit to the change of logo and branding on all my advertising. So I play around with my little app and test a few different ideas out, email them to friends and get their feedback. It also feels satisfying and quite therapeutic, so maybe I am artistic after all. Just not in the traditional sense of the word. Moral of the story is that I am trying to trust my instincts and vision more, whilst worrying less. Well it is a work in progress, just like my potential new logo I guess!
