Hello! This is the very first edition of Nickie's Notes, posting from my brand new website! Built by yours truly, I wanted to create a website that was easy to use with loads of colours and ideas to kick start the imagination for those out there who are building, renovating or just curious?! The planning and designing process can be pretty overwhelming and it really doesn't help when we watch TV shows like The Block. We get house envy, budget envy and have a really unrealistic idea of how a time frame comes together for a renovation or build. Or maybe that is just me...
I've compiled a list of 4 stone brands on our homepage, chosen purely out of popularity. Caesarstone, Silestone, Quantum Quartz and Smartstone are really great materials to work with and have phenomenal colour ranges. The links to their websites are on the homepage too, check them out in the comfort of your couch and pj's. Take your time, use their online visualisation tools and dream big! Pick some colours you may not usually go for, check out my Pinterest page for some inspiration. I've got a board full of different paint swatches and tile combos to help you see what colour combinations look great together.
Living in Darwin for over 15 years, we have renovated two of our own houses together whilst raising our two small children.
